A fascination with everything seaside and beach themed started the business for us, so I thought it appropriate to cover this favourite theme of mine.
I’ll set the scene…the sun is shimmering off the cool blue sea, a beautiful arch of seashells awaits the arrival of bride and groom, sun-kissed children carry garlands of starfish whilst a choir of magical mermaids sing heavenly tunes…oh hang on, got a bit carried away.
That’s not really my sort of thing if I’m honest… There are some beautiful beach destination weddings but how about a more realistic beach theme? One that could be used at any venue, including good old wet ’n’ windy Blighty and not cost as much as your mortgage?

There are some simple elements that you can bring to any beach theme wedding that will evoke the feeling of the coast…starfish, shells and driftwood are inexpensive and make perfect decorations and the colours are cool and calm.

If budget allows you could choose a venue with a beachside location – there are some stunning hotels and beach wedding companies catering for weddings on the sand or in a beach hut like the brilliant Beach Weddings Bournemouth company or the stunning Gallivant Hotel in Rye, near the beautiful Camber Sands
At Beach weddings Bournemouth, you can get married on the beach and use your very own dreamy beach hut!

Don’t despair if you only have an inland option though as it can be adapted to give a beachy look with some clever decorations and styling.
String garlands of shells and starfish around the venue and bring the whole look together by sticking to pale blue tones, sand and driftwood colours with white
Bunting is another inexpensive way of decorating your venue and always brings a jolly seaside feel to any occasion.

Favours of tiny beach themed soaps or message in a bottle style favours containing a lottery ticket. These can also double up as place names by adding a manila tag tied with string to each bottle
Outfits for the bride _ groom and bridal party can be kept simple with added coastal touches like tiny starfish, shell buttonholes or add starfish to a bridal bouquet. Flowergirls can carry tin buckets filled with cool toned flowers tied with raffia and seashell details.

A beach themed wedding cake would look fabulous or maybe ‘rope’ in some friends and family to make beach themed cupcakes or a simple sandcastle cake (see what I did there?)
