The look I wanted to create for this shoot was a classic, fresh look with dewy skin and a simple classic up do. The most asked for make up look for brides is the natural look, where the make up accentuates the features you want to highlight and enhances your natural beauty without looking too heavy and overly made up.
A lot of brides know exactly what they want, but ever so often, I also have brides who come to me thinking that, they want to wear a certain type of hair accessory on their big day.
Recently there have been several popular TV dramas based in the Edwardian times, which has opened a surge of excitement and interest from brides wanting to recreate the styles.
This is the wedding of my lovely client Lauren and her now hubby Mick. A relaxed and fun wedding with lots of personality. I first met Lauren when she came to my salon, ‘Sarah Roberts’, for a bridal hair trial. Lauren had told me she was very nervous because she had been to two other stylists for hair trials, but both failed to deliver what she wanted.
Tis the season for weddings, and it’s not only brides that are fluttering around with details, but all those lovely ladies attending these weddings are too! If you’re like me, and it seems like all your friends are getting hitched, then you’re probably going to a few weddings this year. With each wedding we’d love to buy a new dress (of course) but that’s not always the case, so we have to get creative with our hair instead.
After a few weddings it’s easy to get bored with many aspects, your hair included. After the default blow-dry, or your standard curling that you can now do with your eyes closed – it’s time to spice things up! Sometimes the most basic of styles can be turned into a chic and very stylish addition to any outfit, let’s take the ponytail for instance. Easy peasy!
